DRDO Industry Academia Raman Centre of Excellence
DIA-RCoE
DRDO has been interacting with IISc over the last few decades on various useful defence technologies and collaborative research programs in focused areas that are strategic to DRDO. DRDO is also having research collaborations with IISc faculty through ER&IPR and Research Boards, for technology development under various research thrust areas. To harness the vast research expertise available in IISc and to bring all the research collaborations under single umbrella, and to strongly engage with IISc for collaborative research and technology development DRDO has signed a MoU with IISc, Bengaluru to establish DRDO Industry Academia – Raman Centre of Excellence (DIR-RCoE) for carrying out focused directed research in the identified research verticals.
OBJECTIVES
The enhanced objective of DIA-RCoE is to undertake and facilitate multidisciplinary directed basic and applied research in the identified research verticals

DIA-RCoE will collaborate with the academic researchers & faculties at IISc and other institutes in the country as necessary, and with industries, start-ups and DRDO laboratories for creating new knowledge and translating them into cutting-edge technologies for defence.
